Qualified Teacher with Enhanced DBS
I’ve been teaching since 2011 and have worked in a range of academic and alternative-provision settings. I have taught a range of subjects but currently teach GCSE English Language and Literature, English Functional Skills and English as a Foreign Language. Before teaching these subjects I taught Psychology and Criminology.
I have an enhanced DBS (UK Goverment Disclosure & Barring Service) which is required in the UK to work with children. Employers can see my status on the DBS Update Service. If, as a private individual, you would like to see my certificate, please let me know.
Please contact me to find out more about online or in-person tutoring.
Thanks!

About Me
I grew up in a town just outside of London, but I lived in the USA for several years (California, New York and Colorado) and spent one year living in Germany.
I’ve done a lot of work with students at colleges and universities, as well as lots of work with immigrants learning English as a Foreign Language.
I worked at a University in the USA so I’m particuarly familiar with differences between American English and British English. I’ve also volunteered my services teaching English to people from Ukraine. This included a specialist role training teachers of English in Ukraine.
For more details about my professional experience please look at my LinkedIn profile.
Some informal info about me:
I love cats, my favourite drink is coffee, I enjoy strength training, and my favourite way to relax in the evening is practicing calligraphy while listening to audiobooks.
